President's Message - Welcome to NSA New England

Welcome and thanks for visiting NSA New England's web site, home to this region's leading organization for professional speakers.  If you are new to NSA, you may not know us yet, however, I hope you'll soon discover what an incredibly valuable resource we are!    If you are a professional speaker, you'll find our association is an inviting, engaging community that offers you tremendous business resources.  If you are looking to hire a speaker you don't have to look any further because the best of the best in the country are among our NSA NE ranks.  

NSA started in 1973, with a mission to help professional speakers and those aspiring to join the profession to advance their skills and build successful businesses.  Today the organization remains a relevant, exciting professional association, where speakers, consultants and trainers can advance both their platform and business skills.  We provide outstanding programs and share ideas and resources to help our members thrive and become the best they can be.    

Whatever your background and experience, you'll find connections here.  Our members come from a variety of industries and disciplines.  As a member since 2002, I'm still amazed at the level of expertise and the diversity of our association.  We come to the speaking profession through leadership development, business management, personal finance, education, marketing, communication, innovation, health and nutrition, etiquette, professional image, time management and organization, and many other disciplines.  We have developed a variety of different business models that may include consulting, training, and publishing as well as speaking.  You'll find humorists, motivational speakers, solo entrepreneurs and CEOs of small companies in our ranks.    

NSA New England has a reputation for providing exceptional resources including relevant, exciting programs of interest to both the new and advanced speaker.  As one of the strongest NSA Chapters in the country, we encourage our members not only to attend but get involved, get to know other speakers, and get engaged through committee and board work.  You can join in on special projects like our auction or sign up for our Fast Track program for new speakers.

NSA was the first association I joined 8 years ago when I left my first career in television news and started a speaking and coaching business.  Today it is still the first place I turn to find information, resources, collaborators and friends who can help me build my business.
