Description:

Dr. Kenneth C. Crannell, Professor Emeritus, has over 40 years of distinguished teaching at Emerson College and Northwestern University. In addition, he has taught international students in Europe. His specialties are in corporate communication, voice and articulation, regional and foreign accent acquisition and reduction, presentational skills, public speaking, speech pathology, and oral performance. A victim of polio at the age of 18, he has chosen to focus on the positive, rather than the negative aspects of life.

His text, Voice and Articulation, is in its fourth edition and is currently taught in over 66 colleges and universities worldwide. Because of the manner and unique approach Dr. Crannell employed in detailing the subject of voice and articulation, his text quickly became and remains the standard which most texts try to emulate in this field. He is currently working on the fifth edtion which, like all previous editions, contains accompanying audio tapes to supplement the text. Soon to be released will be his CD on Accent Reduction, a self-administered learning tool for foreign and regional accent reduction. He is a keynote Motivational speaker.
